Job Purpose
To lead, coach and manage the distribution and sales team in order to optimise sales opportunities that achieve profitability and the strategic objectives through world class service delivery.
Job Responsibilities
- Build strategic relationships with stakeholders through ensuring a world class service delivery and through various measurements and disciplines to enhance the Client Experience Measurement (CEM).
- Manage; monitor and track sales and service complaints to improve client satisfaction by ensuring that all complaints are addressed.
- Ensure that the team adheres to service standards and strategies for the achievement of world class service expectations of all stakeholders.
- Ensure transformational target are met for own team through consideration of targets during the staff recruitment; retention and training process and utilising suppliers listed on the preferred supplier list.
- Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc).
- Participate in the development and implement action plans to address issues raised in culture surveys to improve results.
- Address issues raised in culture surveys by participating in the development and implementation of action plans.
- Create a client service culture through various required interventions.
- Support and encourage staff to participate and support corporate responsibility initiative.
- Achieve operational excellence by supporting the implementation of business optimisation improvement through team engagement.
- Encourage team to generate innovative ideas and share knowledge.
- Execute and operationalise the implementation of the sales strategy against objectives and outcomes through managing the sales team targets and activities.
- Identify sales opportunities by sourcing and analysing and making recommendations to implement sales plans and objectives.
- Deliver on all financial deliverables through ensuring acquisition; retention; quality and cross selling to support asset and revenue growth.
- Manage performance of staff by providing a clear understanding of performance agreements; ensuring a clear vision; agreeing on goals and objectives; providing regular feedback on performance; recognising and rewarding achievement and take appropriate corrective action where required.
- Mentor and coach staff on identified performance gaps by discussing these performance gaps and agree on appropriate action to be taken.
- Motivate staff to perform and contribute to the success of the business by creating environment of teamwork through engaging with staff (sharing information) and encouraging participation in decision making processes.
- Manage the on boarding process of new employees by ensuring execution of preparations according to the on-boarding check-list.
- Manage; implement and revaluate process execution to ensure that the business achieves its objectives through strict compliance and risk controls.
- Educate the sales team and reinforce applicable changes to mitigate risk by keeping abreast of changes to relevant regulation; rules; processes and policies.
- Ensure efficiency of resource and capacity plans to embed a high performance culture through staff planning; work allocation and contingency planning.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 7) in one of the following:

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
- Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Minimum Experience Level
5 - 7 years Insurance related sales experience with a minimum of 3 years’ managing a team.
