Job Purpose
To provide an administrative support service which ensures that occupational health and safety practices areimplemented by stakeholders to minimise health and safety incidents and to ensure compliance to relevantlegislation and Nedbank policies.
Job Responsibilities
- Compile Occupation Health and Safety (OHS) reports by collating information on health and safety forinput into Sustainability, OPCOM, Cluster ERCO, and Business Risk Management Forum (BRMF)reports.
- Assist in the coordination of evacuation drills.
- Provide administrative assistance to the department.
- Create health and safety awareness by compiling relevant material and highlighting health and safetypractices, procedures and policies.
- Help in the execution of the Nedbank Health and Safety well-being day.
- Help in the annual OHS recognition function.
- Obtain an understanding of expectations and requirements of stakeholders.
- Build rapport with stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships internally with stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with local emergency services.
- Contribute to a culture of transformation by participating in Nedbank culture building initiatives, businessstrategy, and CSI.
- Seek opportunities to improve OHS processes and systems.
- Track operational expenses.
- Liaise with suppliers/vendors to procure cost eff ective services or goods within budget for approval bymanagement.
- Monitor currency of intranet policies and procedures.

- Submit OHS information and/or documentation as stipulated in relevant legislation and/or as perNedbank requirements, to relevant stakeholders, and ensure turnaround times, due dates and qualitystandards are met.
- Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and demonstrate the values through interaction withstakeholders.
- Keep abreast of legislation and other industry changes that impacts on role.
- Ensure all personal and professional development plan activities are completed within specifi edtimeframe.
- Share knowledge of trends and identifi ed health and safety risks with team and stakeholders that resultin relevant upskilling and the eff ective handover to relevant responsible person.

Minimum Experience Level
Minimum of 2 years experience in an Administrative Occupational Health and Safety role
