Job Purpose

To build and maintain relationships with clients through the provision of a world class service by being the point of contact for all queries and requests; as per Nedbank business strategy

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the client is aware that their account has been opened and is ready for transacting by sending them the investment pack which contains their welcome letter and pre-populated transaction forms.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with clients by ensuring timeous processing of their transactions and through visits with a sales member when required.
  • Understand client needs by monitoring client behaviour in terms of when they require funds and when they are able to deposit.
  • Be the point of contact between Nedbank and external clients by addressing all telephonic and email queries and requests timeously.
  • Ensure that the back office understands the Business Unit's requirements by building relationships with them and following up to ensure that transactions are processed timeously.
  • Build trust of clients by adhering to the Nedbank values when dealing with clients.
  • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (eg: staff surveys etc).
  • Participate and support corporate social responsibility initiatives for the achievement of key business strategies.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance processes; systems and policies and support implementation of new processes; policies and systems.
  • Ensure that clients are aware of the performance on their investments by providing daily; monthly; quarterly and yearly reports as per client requirements (eg: daily rates; statements; exposure reports; audit confirmations etc).
  • Assist the fund manager to manage the liquidity of the portfolios as accurately as possible by providing large flows reports on the various portfolios.
  • Assist administrators to process transactions timeously by providing them with the list of transactions throughout the day.
  • Ensure that accurate information on new and existing clients is kept on the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system by updating the database as and when details are provided.
  • Minimise risks to the bank and client by adhering to the risk standards set out in the business rules and procedures.
  • Keep abreast of legislation and other industry changes that impacts on role by reading the relevant newsletters; websites and attending sessions.
  • Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and demonstrate the values through interaction with team and stakeholders.
  • Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from managers.
  • Ensure personal growth and enable effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities by ensuring all learning activities are completed; experience practiced and certifications obtained and/or maintained within specified time frames.
  • Ensure information is provided correctly to stakeholders by maintaining knowledge and sharing knowledge with team.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Preferred Qualification

  • Finance Investment Qualification.

Minimum Experience Level

  • 3 years experience in a client services role
