Job Purpose

The Digital Traffic Manager is responsible for the traffic management of digital and design projects from concept ideation to completion by making use of the allocated time and resource(s) across the various digital platforms. Responsible for the capacity and resource planning, workflow management, internal teams’ liaison and external clients where required, tracking, reviewing and measurement of studio resource output. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded digital production expert, with a clear understanding of digital platform creative best practice, as well as experience in managing the operations of a digital production studio, together with client-side experience in managing production jobs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Day to day management of project pipeline ensuing smooth operations, including demand management and forecast monitoring, and evaluate and make trade off decisions to project resourcing and capacity.
  • Responsible for the production studios resource capacity planning, scheduling and reporting daily/weekly, across the digital team.
  • Interrogate and fully understand the client brief and requirements to ensure that all instructions are clear and all necessary information is provided.
  • Ensure that the team adheres to process and work is being completed on time and within scope.
  • Conduct daily morning stand-up meeting to go over briefs, deadlines, tasks assigned and due for the day and determine if there are any risks or blockers.
  • Timeously communicate any issues or blockers with the Production Delivery Manager.
  • Schedule and facilitate kick-starts and briefing sessions.
  • Ensure that the team’s time sheets are captured correctly and timely for monthly reporting.
  • Maintain a visible creative capacity schedule for the Group Digital Creative Studio for daily review.
  • Create in-house POs where needed.
  • Proactively exploring new methodologies, systems, and processes that enhance the flow of work through the Digital Studio.
  • Encouraging collaboration and team spirit amongst resources.

People Specification

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

Essential Certifications

  • Digital Marketing/ Project Management Certification preferred

Minimum Experience Level

3 - 6 years
Project, time, resource management experience

Technical/Professional Knowledge:

  • Digital Asset Management Systems and Repositories 
  • Digital marketing channels (web, social, mobile, media, etc.) and digital content/asset creation
