Job Purpose
To facilitate in-depth, HR functional strategies, leadership development and cultural transformation related interventions for Nedbank staff and to enable large scale people practice and culture change in the leadership of Nedbank and to create a bank-wide community of leaders who live the values of the bank. Effectively Manage Payroll and Employee wellbeing teams to implement strategic plans that support business objectives, ensuring a sustainable human resources department. Effective reporting and pro-active implementation of strategic objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Build sound professional relationships by engaging with all required stakeholders.
- Meet client needs and their desired outcomes through designing and customising HR strategic interventions
- Coordinate the implementation of HR strategies that promote a positive and productive work environment
- Develop and oversee effective payroll reporting aimed at cost efficiencies
- Oversee HR value chain functional duties for relevant Business Units and propose strategic initiatives to improve HR deliverables with Business Impact
- Build a high performance team through effective management of resources
- Propose fit for future succession planning and development initiatives aimed at meeting HR strategic deliverables
- Contribute to the formulation of the budget by considering strategic plans inline with the required expenditure
- Pro-actively and appropriately engage stakeholders to provide relevant solutions
- Smooth the flow of work by agreeing upon the designed workshop outcomes, meeting with the business Leaders.
- Oversee all HR-related activities including recruitment, training and development, employee relations, wellbeing, Talent, remuneration and performance management
- Develop trusting and professional internal and external relationships.
- Develop on-going collaborative working partnerships with EXCO, senior leaders and managers.
- Manage the on-going intervention process and multiple client engagements to manage expectations and keep stakeholders informed
- Deliver per business needs by engaging the intact team and addressing questions, managing anxiety and explaining organisation purpose.
- Meet stakeholder workshop requirements and workshop deliverables through facilitation.
- Coordinate and facilitate all HR policy implementation and propose fit for purpose changes
- Contribute to a culture of transformation by participating in Nedbank culture building initiatives, business strategy, and CSI.
- Stay abreast of developments in field of expertise, ensuring personal and professional growth.
- Facilitate/Coordinate all HR reporting for various forums and present effective HR reporting strategies for implementation
- Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and values, leading by example.
- Enable effective management of staff performance by supporting with implementation of SMART Performance agreements
- Improve business processes and systems and provide input to enhance processes that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businesses.
- Adapt process and procedures to accommodate group needs.
- Ensure each intervention is completed to plan.
- Exercise effective resource use and allocation, produce balanced outputs in terms of quality, cost, business expectations and compliance.
- Ensure a productive outcome and comply with risk standards.
- Guide small and large groups by facilitating individual and group engagement and participation and ensuring that the desired outcomes are achieved.
- Contribute to standards, procedures, processes and policies.
- Improve client service.
- Support participants by raising employee wellness awareness during facilitated sessions and by providing contact details of the Independent Counselling and Advisory Services during facilitation of interventions.
- Deliver projects effectively and efficiently.
- Provide advice and feedback relating to organisational themes emerging from facilitated interventions
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level 8
Relevant Postgraduate/ Honours degree in HR Management/Industrial Psychology or related field
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Certifications
Institute of People Management (IPM) or SA Board of People Practices (SABPP)
Minimum Experience Level
7+ years’ experience in HR Strategic Business Partnering & Reporting, OD, Coaching, Facilitation, inclusive of 5+ years in Management / Leadership experience.
