Job Purpose

 

To generate returns for the bank from client fixed income flows while maintaining within pre-set risk limits.

Job Responsibilities

  • Achieve revenue targets
  • Manage the banks bond and treasury bill exposure limits.
  • Grow market share in the fixed income space 
  • Manage operating risks at targeted levels by ensuring compliance to internal and external controls; regulatory and governance requirements as well as ACI Code of Conduct.  (ACI- Governing Body)
  • Report all operational issues that result in loss/profit or reputational damage through submission of incident reports.
  • Increase efficiencies on the desk.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, counterparties and support functions.
  • Increase trading desk efficiency through process improvements, automation opportunities and effective resource utilization.
  • Provide quality, timely and value-adding reports on market activities.
  • Support the achievement of the business strategy, objectives and values.
  • Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate.
  • Contribute positively to team collaboration, knowledge sharing and high-performance culture.

Valid Police Clearance Certificate

Preferred Qualification

RPE (Registered person's exam). 

Business Management Bachelor’s degree.

 

Essential Certifications

  • ACI certification

Minimum Experience Level

  • 5-10years’ experience in FX Sales capacity in Global Market environment with exposure to interest rate, derivatives, commodities, etc.
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). 
  • Appropriate experience with credit risk, trading risk and operational risk issues. 
  • Driver’s license is a requirement and the mobility & flexibility to travel.
