Job Purpose
To generate returns for the bank from client fixed income flows while maintaining within pre-set risk limits.
Job Responsibilities
- Achieve revenue targets
- Manage the banks bond and treasury bill exposure limits.
- Grow market share in the fixed income space
- Manage operating risks at targeted levels by ensuring compliance to internal and external controls; regulatory and governance requirements as well as ACI Code of Conduct. (ACI- Governing Body)
- Report all operational issues that result in loss/profit or reputational damage through submission of incident reports.
- Increase efficiencies on the desk.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, counterparties and support functions.
- Increase trading desk efficiency through process improvements, automation opportunities and effective resource utilization.
- Provide quality, timely and value-adding reports on market activities.
- Support the achievement of the business strategy, objectives and values.
- Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate.
- Contribute positively to team collaboration, knowledge sharing and high-performance culture.

Valid Police Clearance Certificate
Preferred Qualification
RPE (Registered person's exam).
Business Management Bachelor’s degree.
Essential Certifications
- ACI certification
Minimum Experience Level
- 5-10years’ experience in FX Sales capacity in Global Market environment with exposure to interest rate, derivatives, commodities, etc.
- Conversant with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Appropriate experience with credit risk, trading risk and operational risk issues.
- Driver’s license is a requirement and the mobility & flexibility to travel.
