Job Purpose
Acquisition of new clients for Private Wealth , provide superior services and develop new opportunities within an existing portfolio of clients through the marketing of Private Wealth products and services in a competitive Wealth Management Banking environment. Further to build; service and maintain a book of discretionary and execution on stockbroking clients according to mandates and models; generating revenue in line with Nedbank's strategy.
Job Responsibilities
- Grow and maintain the Wealth segment.
- Grow and maintain the Stockbroking segment in the Bank’s client portfolio.
- Meet agreed upon sales targets
- Build a sustainable revenue stream by identifying opportunities that attract and acquire target market clients.
- Provide superior client services to existing and new clients and enhance the bank’s relationship banking concept to ensure consistent service and performance.
- Build sound client relationships and instill trust amongst clients that Nedbank Private Wealth is best placed to manage the complexity of their business, personal and household requirements.
- Understand and apply the bank's risk and credit policy and manage client expectations accordingly.
- Improve team efficiency and effectiveness continuously.
- Ensure and apply compliance with Risk standards by completing specified compliance training and ensuring that teams complete theirs.
Job Responsibilities Continue
- Prevent unnecessary financial losses and / or clients complaints by executing trades correctly and managing discretionary portfolios in accordance with standards / mandates.
- Operate in a cost effective manner by evaluating possible opportunities for profitability and working together with a senior.
- Maintain relationship with discretionary and non-discretionary stockbroking clients by providing outstanding service and execution of clients' instructions resulting in increased investment performance and client loyalty.
- Build and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships by engaging in industry related forums and involvement in collaboration initiatives and professional relationships with high value profile clients.
People Specification
Abilities Requirements:
- Good understanding of all banking products and systems.
- Broad industry and market knowledge, as well as having a sound understanding of local and global economic fundamentals.
- Extensive and sound experience in all aspect of Private, Wealth Banking and Stockbroking, with particular emphasis on relationship management.
- A sound financial and credit analysis background.
- Superior interpersonal, negotiation and marketing skills.
- Develop and maintain client relationships.
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Preferred Qualification
- Degree in Business / Finance/ Marketing
Minimum Experience Level
- Minimum of 7 (seven) years’ experience in banking and/or financial services industry as well as Managerial level exposure.
- 2 years in the financial markets environment
