Job Purpose
To lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the organization's liquidity and funding strategy, ensuring adequate funding and liquidity levels are maintained under both normal and stressed market conditions.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop liquidity risk frameworks.
- Monitor liquidity positions and cash flows.
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis alongside BSM.
- Assist in the structuring of funding solutions for the bank.
- Assist in the structuring; origination; implementation; and monitoring of deals; taking corrective action when required; by assisting in compiling and pitching presentations to prospective clients; compiling quotes for new and existing deals and assisting Transaction Management; Finance and other stakeholders on the implementation of deals.
- Cross-sell other products offered by Nedbank by keeping abreast of Nedbank's offerings in terms of quality, cost, business expectations and compliance.
- Support effective execution of transactions, complying with risk standards, monitoring and taking corrective action when required by modelling, researching, analysing investment proposals and executing legal agreements/client instructions where applicable. Improve deal origination by providing multidisciplinary solutions; identifying and resolving work problems and delivering the required output to clients; and refining and enhancing coverage.
- Ensure deals are implemented appropriately; and adhere to policies; procedures and regulatory requirements by developing; maintaining; and running risk and pricing models.
- Build and maintain sound professional relationships by understanding Business.Take ownership and drive the NIR streams derived from the non-Wholesale clients

- Meet and exceed client needs by maintaining open channels of communication with internal stakeholders and ensuring smooth workflow
- Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc).
- Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy (e.g.. Green Strategy).
- Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank.
- Ensure all personal development plan activities are completed within specified timeframe.
- Share knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders during formal and informal interaction.
- Obtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced processes (e.g. operational processes) that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businesses by highlighting benefits in support of the implementation of recommendations.
- Manage and monitor relevant funding portfolios and maturity profiles.
- Ensure competitive pricing, while preserving Bank margin.
People Specification

Preferred Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Banking or equivalent.
Preferred Certifications
ACI Dealing Certificate
Minimum Experience Level
5-10 years experience in Treasury, Liquidity Risk, ALM, Balance Sheet Management or Corporate Finance, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
