Job Purpose

To achieve financial and non-financial metrics in all retail  segments:, consumer banking, private wealth, private banking, points of presence, digital channels and distribution through stakeholder relationship management and client engagement, in line with Nedbank Namibia’s business strategy. To build profitable relationships through innovative client strategies and understanding the needs and aspirations of prospective and existing clients and all stakeholders, capturing the potential new clients within the market, ensure  retention of existing clients relationship, , cross-sell to increase product holding  to maximise revenue within an acceptable risk profile.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage all retail segments:  consumer banking, private wealth, private banking points of presence, digital channels and distribution.
  • Build synergy across business functions and manage revenue growth in the respective areas
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders  and ensure client and stakeholder expectations are understood and met
  • Ensure alignment and achievement of strategy and create a competitive advantage by translating the Nedbank and Business Unit strategy into a customised.
  • Divisional strategy Develop and introduce a people strategy that will create a culture that drives the Cluster and Nedbank's vision and values.
  • Maintain a high performing team by identifying a talent pool through career conversations and using the talent grid principles and developing talent retention programmes.
  • Take accountability of the growth of balance sheet across all product classes.
  • Ensure implementation and execution of divisional sales strategy.Achieve and manage targets
  • Manage performance of direct reports and hold them accountable for managing the performance of their direct reports.
  • Actively build a culture of  high performance
  • Contribute to a culture of transformation by participating in Nedbank culture building initiatives, business strategy, and CSI.Develop, implement and measure the effectiveness of a strategy to build a differentiated culture.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of senior staff.
  • Empower team to make decisions and recommend tailored solutions to Business Unit specific problems.
  • Keep abreast of competitor activities.
  • Provide sales intelligence and solutions.
  • Provide continuous sales leadership.
  • Identify and reduce risk for Nedbank Group.
  • Produce reports to key business committees.
  • Ensure the achievement of targets by monitoring implemented Divisional EE and Transformation Plan, correcting deviations.
  • Monitor achievement of function goals, and levels of service, and manage business and client interests. Improve division sales policies and procedures.
  • Manage risk by providing input to policy and procedure formulation, issuing guidelines, participating in interpretation of legislation and proactively managing changes.
  • Improve processes and skills.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

  • Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Preferred Qualification

Relevant executive/senior management leadership course at accredited regional/international business institution OR Masters Degree

Minimum Experience Level

5-10 years’ experience in related market and 3- 5 years’ experience as senior manager leading a large team in a complex enviroment (10 years minimum in total).
