Job Purpose

Job Responsibilities

• Ability to understand middleware technology- working knowledge of Nedbank’s Middle Ware and integration systems and streams) 
• Ability to develop Middle Ware systems for Nedbank on AIX Unix/Windows 
• Exposure and working knowledge of -Message broker.
• Have a good grounding in the Middle Ware concepts and can associate most of the concepts into designs and argue them in that context.
• Understanding of DataPower and API gateway
• Understand and the use of SOAP and REST technologies for various development projects and services.
• Have excellent C, C++, Fortran, JAVA development skills.
• Essential to scripting languages as well JS and Python and Unix Shell
• Ability and good working knowledge with regards to Archiving technologies (Mainly P8-IBM ) some on CMOD (Content Management on Demand
• Ability to build systems that can integrate into these solutions which are core to Enterprise Content Management - the bank's ECM strategy.
• System knowledge 
• Deep Understanding of Nedbank and in- depth experience of systems within Nedbank.
• Ability to bring and translate core concepts and design that may integrate with various platforms with Nedbank.
• Ability to support and maintain the design for ECS/ECP which is the core of the system and is the glue that puts together the ability to deliver functionality to channels as they progress through the Managed Evolution roadmap.
• Strategy focus -Adoption of event driven and asynchronous designs in basis code they will benefit systems in the long run.
• Understanding end to end design of Micro services within Nedbank.
