Title:  TPO: T24 Core Banking, Credit, Card & Payments, ATM & POS

Job Purpose

The role owns end-to-end technical product ownership for Temenos Core Banking, Credit, Card & Payments, ATM & POS, reporting to the Nedbank Africa Regions CIO. The role spans platform configuration and integration through to release management and operational stability, ensuring these systems support the bank’s transformation, growth, and straight-through processing ambitions across multiple markets. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team and partners to deploy Nedbank Africa Regions new core technology platform. 

Key focus areas:

• Accountable for delivery of the first platform deployment, setting the standard and playbook for future country rollouts
• Technical ownership of the T24 core banking platform, including configuration, upgrades, and multi-country deployment
• Product ownership across credit, card & payments, and ATM/POS technology stacks inherent on Temenos. Strong collaboration required when leveraging enterprise assets and platforms. 
• Driving platform integration and straight-through processing between core banking and surrounding systems
• Managing the technical backlog, release planning, and delivery in partnership with vendors and internal engineering teams
• Building and leading a technical product team, providing direction, coaching, and capability development
• Ensuring platform stability, performance, and compliance across all subsidiaries
• Partnering with business and channel teams to translate commercial requirements into technical delivery

Responsibilities

• Own Temenos deployment factory and country rollout playbook.
• Accountable for all data migration activities.
• Lead cross-country business process standardisation.
• Lead application rationalisation around the core platform.
• Own vendor management for Temenos and implementation partners.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

Preferred Qualification

• B.Sc Computer Science, B.Com Informatics, Engineering Degrees

Preferred Certifications

• Preferred - TOGAF, Leading SAFe, Project Management (PMBok/PMI, Prince II etc)

Minimum Experience Level

• 11 years+ experience:
  • Management experience as part of the above years:6-7 Years

  • 1 Years + Leading a multidisciplinary virtual team to deliver a technical capability to a large corporate organisation
