Job Purpose

To drive strategic integration and delivery across the business, ensuring alignment between vertical product lines and horizontal capabilities. The role focuses on translating strategy into practical execution, identifying synergies, improving delivery effectiveness, and enabling value realization across Product Design & Innovation (PDI) and broader business units. This role is ideal for a high-impact, delivery-focused strategist who thrives in ambiguity and wants to shape how strategy is executed in a complex organisation—bridging the gap between vision and real business outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Integration & Delivery

  • Drive integration across vertical (product) and horizontal (functional) areas to identify synergies, efficiencies, and opportunities.
  • Provide strategic oversight across initiatives, ensuring alignment to business priorities and Ignite structures.
  • Enable end-to-end delivery improvements by embedding governance, engagement models, and delivery processes.
  • Translate strategic intent into actionable initiatives that deliver measurable business value.

 

Business Performance & Value Creation

  •  Analyse cross-functional initiatives to ensure maximum value realization and avoidance of duplication (e.g. shared capabilities across products).
  • Support development of business cases and delivery tracking to improve visibility and outcomes.
  • Ensure improved quality, speed, and effectiveness of delivery across squads and teams.

 

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with senior stakeholders including Executives, Manco, and central strategy teams.
  • Collaborate across PDI, segments, operations, and broader business units to align priorities.
  • Act as a connector across teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication.

 

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities and design practical solutions and processes.
  • Operate within an evolving environment to define structures, guardrails, and ways of working.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of business processes and operating models.

 

Ad Hoc Strategic Support

  • Handle high-impact, cross-functional strategic and operational requests.
  • Support leadership with insights, recommendations, and decision-making material.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Preferred Qualification

  • Minimum: Relevant Degree (NQF Level 7)
  • Postgraduate qualification (e.g. MBA) advantageous

Minimum Experience Level

  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience in strategy, consulting, business analysis, or related fields.
  • Proven ability in:
    • Problem solving and structured thinking
    • Connecting insights across multiple domains
    • Delivering tangible business outcomes
  • Consulting background preferred (strong problem-solving and delivery orientation).
  • Experience working in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Banking/financial services exposure advantageous but not essential.
