Job Purpose

Leverage exceptional talent management and assessment subject matter expertise and business contextual understanding to strategically partner with the business and advise, design, implement and manage assessment solutions to meet the integrated talent (including but not limited to recruitment, development, wellbeing, organisational culture / effectiveness) requirements of the business.

Job Responsibilities

Talent Assessment Product & Service Delivery
•    Stay ahead of industry, business, integrated talent management and assessment trends to provide strategic advisory and leading-practice talent assessment solutions.
•    Support and contribute to the assessment strategy, product vision and ongoing evolution of assessment practices.
•    Provide data-driven advisory and decision support across talent acquisition, identification, succession, development and workforce capability planning.
•    Translate integrated talent requirements and portfolio strategies into individual, team and organisational assessment implications.
•    Collaborate across the talent management value chain to design and implement assessment solutions that address business needs and workforce priorities.
•    Partner with HR and Line Executives by using assessment data, insights and recommendations to support placement, succession, team performance, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging decisions.
•    Convert assessment data into commercial insights and talent recommendations that enable the right talent, role, capability and timing.
•    Enhance workforce, candidate and team experience through fair, transparent, inclusive and development-focused assessment practices.
•    Apply business context and assessment expertise to provide relevant developmental feedback for individuals, teams and the organisation.
•    Drive validity, reliability and fit-for-purpose measurement of assessment solutions to confirm business outcomes and value delivery.
•    Build and maintain trusted relationships across the organisation to strengthen the credibility of talent assessment advisory services.
 
Delivery Management
•    Work as part of agile delivery execution teams to deliver priority HR book of work, HR transformation and people data and analytics requirements.
•    Collaborate within and across execution teams to define data, integration and delivery requirements.
•    Deliver work on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
•    Achieve a superior customer experience on all assessment feedback with line management and candidates 

 

Finance, Risk & Governance
•    Ensure assessment practices comply with legal, ethical, regulatory and professional standards, including relevant labour and professional body requirements.
•    Collaborate with external assessment and measurement vendors to evaluate, select and deliver robust tools and technologies.
•    Participate in procurement, partnership and relationship management with assessment providers as required.
•    Manage vendors and Associates performance on assessment and measurement solutions within the portfolio.
•    Identify, manage and mitigate assessment and measurement risks.

 

People
•    Oversee the psychometric internship programme by providing mentorship, line management, development support and integration into the Talent Assessment team.
•    Share best practice with Talent Community peers to strengthen and elevate the assessment practice.
•    Drive customer, learner and candidate centricity, continuous improvement and change across the area.
•    Coach and mentor HR Product Owners and teams in the implementation and use of assessment solutions.
•    Conduct peer reviews, testing and problem solving within and across the broader team.

People Specification

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

  • Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree

Preferred Qualification

Education: Honours Degree in Industrial Psychology or similar (required).
•    Professional Registration: HPCSA registration as Psychometrist Independent Practice (required)

Minimum Experience Level

A minimum of 5 years of experience in talent assessment, talent management, or related roles, with a focus on assessment design, implementation and evaluation.
