Skills Development Facilitator

Job Purpose

To manage implementation of Skills Development by meeting business needs in order to adhere to the regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with cluster learning and development heads by meeting their business needs on learnerships, internships and skills programs to meet Department of Trade and Industry/Financial     Sector Charter targets.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to implement identified categories of programs on the Sectoral Education and Training Authority's Learning Matrix to meet business needs.
  • Initiate interaction with external stakeholders by building networks to enable implementation of identified categories of programs on the Sectoral Education and Training Authority's Learning Matrix     Build networks by representing Group Human Resources at cluster learning and development initiatives     and Sector Education Training Authority initiatives.
  • Build relationships with cluster learning and development heads by meeting their business needs on learnerships, internships and skills programs to meet Department of Trade and Industry/Financial     Sector Charter targets.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to implement identified categories of programs on the Sectoral     Education and Training Authority's Learning Matrix to meet business needs.
  • Initiate interaction with external stakeholders by building networks to enable implementation of     identified categories of programs on the Sectoral Education and Training Authority's Learning Matrix.
  • Build networks by representing Group Human Resources at cluster learning and development initiatives and Sector Education Training Authority initiatives.
  • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc).
  • Research and make recommendations for corporate citizenship initiatives in area of influence.
  • Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy     (e.g.. Green Strategy).
  • Seek opportunities to improve business processes, models and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank.
  • Recover grants from Banking Sector Education and Training Authority by applying for pivotal grants through Bank Sector Education and Training Authority funding windows.
  • Explore external funding opportunities to enable implementation of pivotal programs for unemployed youth by negotiating funding from Further Education and Training colleges.
  • Recover mandatory grants by submitting Workplace Skills Plan and Implementation Report to Bank
  • Sector Education and Training Authority.
  • Support the achievement of the business strategy, objectives and values by reviewing Nedbank and
  • Business Unit Plan and ensuring delivered systems; process, services and solutions are aligned.
  • Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifying training
  • courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from managers.
  • Ensure personal growth and enable effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities by ensuring all learning activities are completed, experience practiced and certifications obtained and/or maintained within specified time frames.
  • Enable skilling and required corrective action to take place by sharing knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders during formal and informal interaction.
  • Obtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced processes (e.g. operational processes) that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businesses by highlighting benefits in support of the implementation of recommendations.

Minimum Experience Level

  • 5 years in a corporate environment

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Preferred Qualification

  • Masters Degree in Human Resources/Learning and Development

Essential Certifications

  • Registered Assessor and Moderator with Education, Training and Development Practices Sector Education and Training Authority.
