Job Purpose

To implement and action the creation and compilation of management and strategic reports aligned to strategic intent; through qualitative and quantitative research and analysis; and recommending insights that enable sound business decisions through others, as per Nedbank's business strategy.

Job Responsibilities

Core Technical Skills
•    Advanced Data Analysis & Interpretation – Ability to work with large, complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and hidden drivers of performance.
•    SQL & Data Querying – Strong proficiency in writing queries to extract and transform data.
•    Python / R / SAS – For statistical analysis, machine learning, and automation advantageous 
•    Data Visualization – Expertise in tools like Power BI, Tableau, to create impactful dashboards and reports.
•    Automation & Efficiency Generation – Experience in streamlining processes using scripting, workflow tools, or low-code platforms (e.g. Power Automate).

Business & Client-Facing Skills
•    Client Performance Analysis – Ability to translate data into actionable insights that drive client growth and profitability.
•    Business Partnering – Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across business units.
•    Commercial Acumen – Understanding of business drivers and financial metrics to contextualize data insights.
•    Presentation & Storytelling – Ability to communicate complex findings in a clear, compelling way to non-technical audiences.

Analytical & Strategic Thinking
•    Root Cause Analysis – Skilled in identifying underlying issues and opportunities from data.
•    Trend Identification – Ability to spot emerging patterns and forecast future performance.
•    Problem Solving – Proactive approach to solving business challenges using data-driven methods.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Preferred Qualification

  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
  • Preferred fields: Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or Business Administration

Minimum Experience Level
