Job Purpose
To execute cash equity trades and support institutional client activity by delivering efficient trade execution, market insight, and liquidity solutions, while contributing to revenue generation, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring compliance with market, regulatory, and risk requirements
Job Responsibilities
- Generate revenue through cash equities sales trading activities by providing clients with market insights, trading ideas, liquidity solutions, and efficient execution services.
- Build, maintain, and grow institutional client relationships to increase share of wallet and support business growth objectives.
- Develop a strong understanding of client needs and market developments to identify opportunities and deliver value-added solutions.
- Contribute to the growth and reputation of the equities franchise through professional client engagement and market participation.
- Execute equity trades in accordance with approved mandates, best execution principles, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Monitor market activity and provide timely, accurate, and insightful feedback to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain a sound understanding of equity products, market dynamics, trading strategies, and execution methodologies.
- Ensure all client onboarding, trade execution, reporting, and post-trade processes comply with internal policies, exchange requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Identify, escalate, and resolve operational, trading, and client-related issues promptly to minimise risk and ensure a high-quality client experience.
- Manage trading, operational, conduct, and regulatory risks in line with governance frameworks and risk appetite.
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with clients, brokers, custodians, research teams, operations, and other internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of trading processes, systems, controls, and client service capabilities.
- Support knowledge sharing, teamwork, and a high-performance culture within the broader Markets team.
- Participate in transformation, culture, sustainability, and corporate responsibility initiatives that support Nedbank's strategic objectives.

Essential Certification
- JSE RPE exams
Successful candidate will be required to complete the JSE RPE examinations prior to commencement, as registration with the JSE is a prerequisite.
