Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer II to join our team and drive business process excellence across the organisation. The successful candidate will partner with business and project stakeholders to identify opportunities for operational improvement, analyse current business processes, and design future-state operating models that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and customer experience.

The role requires expertise in business process management, process optimisation, change management, and performance improvement, with the ability to deliver sustainable business value through process transformation initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

As a Process Engineer II, you will:

  • Plan and manage process engineering deliverables in line with project delivery methodologies.
  • Analyse, document, and evaluate current ("As Is") business processes and design future-state ("To Be") processes.
  • Lead and execute process improvement initiatives, ensuring quality delivery within agreed timelines and scope.
  • Conduct value chain analysis and cross-functional process mapping to align business strategy with process architecture.
  • Support business value assessments, ROI analyses, and benefits realisation initiatives.
  • Define and implement process performance measures, metrics, and monitoring frameworks.
  • Apply process improvement methodologies and enterprise architecture principles to optimise business operations.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and engagements to support process transformation initiatives.
  • Develop and implement communication and change management plans to drive successful adoption.
  • Collaborate with business, technology, data architecture, and project management teams to define process, data, and technology requirements.
  • Support the identification of training requirements and coordinate competency development interventions.
  • Contribute to the understanding and application of BPMS, RPA, workflow automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Leverage big data concepts, information mining, and customer experience insights to improve business processes.
  • Ensure process initiatives are aligned with governance requirements, risk controls, and organisational standards.
  • Provide regular progress updates and reporting to stakeholders and leadership teams.

Qualification

Essential

  • Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 7)

Preferred

  • Computer Science
  • Information Systems
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Business Management or a related field

Cerfitication

  • Lean Six Sgma -Yellow Belt (or higher)
  • CBPP
  • Business Analysis Certification

Minimum Experience Level

  • 7-10 years' experience in Business Process Management, Process Engineering or Business Improvement.
  • 3-5 years' experience leading or managing process improvement initiatives and small-to-medium transformation projects.
  • Proven experience in BPM methodologies, process redesign, and organisational change management.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate cross-functional stakeholder engagements and drive process improvement outcomes.
