Nedbank is looking for a Marketing Operations Specialist to support marketing delivery across a diverse Private and Wealth portfolio, including Private Clients, Private Wealth, Nedbank Financial Planning, Online Share Trading and Nedgroup Trust. As the portfolio continues to grow and evolve, this role plays a critical part in ensuring that marketing initiatives, stakeholder requirements and regional activities are effectively coordinated, governed and delivered in line with business objectives.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to integrated marketing campaigns, regional activations, client communications, events and business growth initiatives across multiple businesses and client segments. Working closely with business stakeholders, agencies, suppliers and internal marketing teams, you will help translate marketing requirements into actionable plans, drive operational excellence and contribute to the successful execution of marketing initiatives that support client growth and business performance.

Job Purpose

To provide specialist marketing operations, regional enablement and execution support for the Private and Wealth Marketing strategy, ensuring that marketing activity across the portfolio is coordinated, governed, tracked and delivered effectively.

 

The role applies specialist marketing delivery knowledge to translate business and regional requirements into actionable plans, manage workflow discipline, support budget and supplier processes, and provide accurate reporting on marketing activity and outcomes.

 

The role acts as a specialist delivery partner to the Head of Marketing: Private and Wealth, supporting the execution of marketing initiatives across Private Clients, Private Wealth, Nedbank Financial Planning, Online Share Trading and Nedgroup Trust.

Job Responsibilities

Regional Marketing Delivery and Enablement

  • Serve as a specialist coordination point for regional marketing requirements across the Private and Wealth portfolio.
  • Coordinate regional campaigns, activations, events and local marketing initiatives in line with approved plans.
  • Work with regional stakeholders to clarify business priorities, marketing requirements, timelines and delivery dependencies.
  • Ensure regional marketing activity is aligned to strategic business objectives and approved marketing plans.
  • Maintain visibility of regional marketing requests, delivery timelines, dependencies and outcomes.
  • Coordinate delivery of marketing collateral, promotional material and activation requirements across regions.
  • Track and report on regional marketing activities and execution status.

 

Marketing Planning and Execution

  • Convert business and regional requirements into clear marketing briefs, task plans and delivery schedules.
  • Support campaign execution across MOPS, agencies, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Track campaign progress, update delivery plans and highlight risks, dependencies or delays for resolution.
  • Ensure campaigns and initiatives are delivered in line with approved plans, budgets and governance requirements.
  • Support the execution of tactical, strategic and business-as-usual marketing activities.

 

Marketing Operations and Governance

  • Support marketing workflow, prioritisation and briefing processes.
  • Maintain marketing intake, briefing and delivery tracking tools to provide clear visibility of work in progress.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, legal, risk, conduct and brand requirements.
  • Maintain marketing trackers, reporting schedules and operational controls.
  • Coordinate planning sessions, status meetings and delivery reviews by preparing inputs, tracking actions and following up on agreed outputs.
  • Identify process improvements and recommend practical changes that enhance marketing effectiveness, workflow visibility and operational efficiency.

 

Budget and Supplier Management

  • Track marketing expenditure against approved budgets and maintain accurate budget records.
  • Maintain visibility of commitments, invoices and supplier payments.
  • Review supplier costs, quotes and deliverables for accuracy, value and alignment to approved scopes of work.
  • Coordinate procurement, purchase-order and invoice processes where required.
  • Flag budget risks, overspend, delayed invoices and delivery concerns timeously for escalation.
  • Support monthly financial reporting and budget reconciliation activities.

 

Reporting and Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the business, regions, MOPS, agencies and suppliers.
  • Provide regular updates on marketing activity, delivery status and key initiatives.
  • Prepare inputs for monthly marketing reports, operational updates and management reporting packs.
  • Track campaign, activation and regional marketing performance.
  • Identify optimisation opportunities and improvement actions.
  • Support business reviews and management reporting requirements.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
  • Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree

Preferred Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Marketing, Business Management, Communications or a related field.

Minimum Experience Level

  • 3+ year of relevant experience in marketing operations, campaign coordination, marketing project delivery or a similar marketing execution role.
  • Experience coordinating marketing campaigns, events, regional initiatives or client communications involving multiple stakeholders, agencies or suppliers.
  • Practical exposure to marketing budget tracking, supplier administration, purchase orders, invoices or financial reconciliation.
  • Experience translating business requirements into marketing briefs or delivery plans and tracking timelines, risks, dependencies and outcomes.
  • Experience within banking, wealth management, financial services or another regulated environment would be advantageous.
