Job Purpose
In your role as Group Market Research Manager at Nedbank, you will delve into market/competitor dynamics and brand research, leveraging both primary and secondary data. You will analyse and interpret this information to derive valuable insights, which will empower Nedbank stakeholders to make informed decisions that align with our brand strategy.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Consulting and Advisory Services:
- Respond proactively to business needs by offering strategic consulting and insights-based advisory services.
- Build and nurture effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your expertise and experience in brand-related research, together with exposure in brand strategy will be crucial in engaging with them.
- Derive meaningful conclusions from conducted research to enhance our brand strategy.
Process Improvement and Value Addition:
- Identify opportunities to enhance business processes and systems. Recommend effective operational approaches that add value to Nedbank.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver timely, value-added recommendations and insights based on best practices in market research and intelligence.
End-to-End Research Project Management:
- Develop, manage, and execute primary research projects. Apply research and project management principles throughout the process.
- Provide regular progress updates on projects and recommend solutions when needed.
- Leverage vendor relationships to ensure successful project outcomes.
Market Monitoring and Informed Recommendations:
- Stay abreast of market activity by researching primary and secondary sources.
- Extract insights from secondary research, including social media data sources.
- Synthesize and analyse research results to provide well-informed recommendations.
- Monitor competitor activity by gathering and analysing relevant data.
Compliance:
- Adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
- Contribute to shaping a culture that supports transformation goals through participation in Nedbank’s culture-building initiatives.
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Preferred Qualification
- Post Graduate Diploma: Marketing Management
Minimum Experience Level
- 5 years experience in a research environment
Technical / Professional Knowledge
- Proficiency with PowerBi or similar
- Proficiency with Qualtrics XM platform advantageous
