Job Purpose
The L&D Analyst/Designer – Multimedia & AI is a multimedia‑first designer who creates engaging, experience‑led learning solutions. This role combines advanced multimedia production, strong learning experience design capability, and hands‑on use of AI tools to design, prototype, and scale modern learning experiences that drive performance and behavior change
Job Responsibilities
Multimedia‑Led Learning Design (Primary)
- Design and produce high‑quality multimedia learning assets including video, motion graphics, visual assets, and digital learning artefacts.
- Conceptualise and execute visual storytelling approaches that simplify complex learning content.
- Personally own multimedia production while collaborating with designers and developers on larger initiatives.
Learning Experience & Instructional Design (Secondary)
- Apply learning experience and instructional design principles to learning journeys, scenarios, and performance‑support assets.
- Partner with Learning Designers and SMEs to ensure learning solutions are effective, engaging, and learner‑centred.
- Contribute to needs analysis, solution design, and evaluation of learning interventions.

Applied AI in Learning & Design
- Actively use AI tools to accelerate multimedia production, content creation, storyboarding, and prototyping.
- Apply AI to enhance video, audio, and visual quality, as well as content ideation and refinement.
- Share practical AI approaches and best practices with the learning design team.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Work independently on smaller projects and as part of cross‑functional squads on larger initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, Learning Designers, SMEs, and project teams.
- Balance creative ambition with delivery timelines, quality standards, and business priorities.
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Preferred Qualification
Degree or Diploma in design / visual communication
Minimum Experience Level
Strong experience in multimedia design and production, with a portfolio demonstrating video, visual, and digital learning artefacts.
Exposure to learning experience design, instructional design, or learning development environments.
Hands‑on experience using AI tools as part of creative or learning design workflows.
Proficiency with professional design and video tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent).
Exposure to the following would be beneficial:
Experience working in corporate or regulated environments.
Exposure to UX, service design, or digital product design approaches.
5+ Experience with learning platforms or learning technologies.
