Job Purpose

To strategically deliver on all audit outcomes and Group Internal Audit (GIA) deliverables across multiple portfolios,  ensuring that independent and objective assurance is provided to the Group in line with the Institute of Internal Audit (IIA) methods, standards and practices whilst developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities
  • Developing and maintaining good stakeholder management internally and externally i.e. IIASA, ISACA, Banking Forum
  • Knowledge Management; in addition to providing insights from platforms such as Gartner, one needs to ensure they are aware and are able to provide Industry trends and best practice
  • To drive GIA branding and communication internally and externally by liaising with various stakeholder such as the IIA, ISACA, Banking Forum;
  • Participation in IIA SA activities (Institute for Internal Audit South Africa)
  • Representing GIA in various Integrated Risk Control Framework activities
  • Management of various Risk Management Initiatives when required i.e. Internal Control Environment
Essential Qualifications

4-year BSC or Bcom Degree in a related field

Essential Certifications
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and optional Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)

Minimum Experience Level
  • 6-8 years or more Financial services experience in a senior position within an Audit Environment (Senior Manager and above)
    • Five or more years’ experience in operations, process improvement, or related function
