Job Purpose

To drive the delivery and implementation of Nedbank's CSI Green Economy strategy linked to the vision and purpose of the bank. To focus on delivering best in breed CSI benchmarked programmes to assist drive the purpose of the bank. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assess, implement lead and monitor the portfolio and its projects in a manner that is linked to strategic intent and business success. 
  • Integrate and oversee portfolio management and project delivery in line with the overall business strategy and the various Trusts. 
  • Consult and engage with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize needs, implement projects and ensure strategic alignment. 
  • Achieve Corporate social investment (CSI) project objectives by driving the required change interventions that ensure required return on investment for the enterprise. 
  • Align the various CSI arms within the bank to a common strategic purpose.
  • Deliver results by taking ownership and accountability end to end for all tasks and activities within the portfolio. 
  • Promote and champion the governance requirements within Corporate Social Responsibility to mitigate risk 
  • Manage the requirements of the portfolio and Trust budget/operations in line with strategic objectives. 
  • Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy. 
  • Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank. 
  • Maintain an internal administration system by capturing, updating and managing project information. 
  • Identify areas of improvement by reviewing Corporate Social Responsibility policies; procedures; guidelines and trends. 
  • Provide feedback on initiatives by compiling and submitting reports to relevant stakeholders
  • Meet needs and achieve strategic objectives by identifying, building and managing stakeholder relationships. 
  • Oversee the management of investment portfolios, including monitoring performance, identifying risks, and developing investment strategies.
  • Ensure the achievement of project plan objectives as detailed by the strategy 
  • Maximize visibility of CSI/CSR programs and initiatives to ensure delivery of the Green economy strategy 
  • Build trusting relationships with all stakeholders by being a value- driven leader and strategic business partner.
  • Enhance the image of the bank within public relations and create buy-in to strategy. 
  • Align CSI key focus areas, programs and messages to ensure consistency within the Bank. 
  • Create awareness by raising the external profile of best practice initiatives within the bank.

People Specification

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

  • Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree

Preferred Qualification

Business management, Finance and Social Development 

Minimum Experience Level

7 - 10 years
