Job Purpose

To lead the development and execution of a bank-wide financial wellness and advisory strategy that improves client and employee financial outcomes, strengthens the bank’s positioning as a trusted advisor, and drives sustainable commercial growth through integrated education, advisory and behavioural interventions.

Job Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and lead a unified financial wellness and advisory strategy aligned to corporate, brand, and commercial objectives
  • Position financial wellness as a core strategic enabler of client engagement, differentiation, and growth
  • Provide thought leadership on financial capability, behaviour change, and advisory models


 Ecosystem Design & Integration

  • Build and oversee a fully integrated financial wellness ecosystem, connecting:
    • Financial education programmeso 
    • Advisory services and coaching
    • Digital tools and platforms
    • Marketing and client engagement channels
  • Eliminate fragmentation and drive consistency across all channels and touchpoints


Client & Employee Financial Outcomes

  • Drive initiatives that improve:
    • Financial literacy
    • Money management behaviours (budgeting, saving, debt management)
    • Long-term financial resilience and wellbeing
  • Ensure solutions are practical, accessible, and tailored to different segments

 

Commercialisation & Value Creation

  • Translate financial wellness into tangible brand outcomes, such as enhanced brand trust and preference
  • Identify and scale revenue-linked advisory opportunities


Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure all financial wellness and advisory activities meet:
    • Regulatory requirements (e.g., FSCA standards)
    •  Internal governance and risk frameworks
  • Maintain accuracy, fairness, and ethical standards across all advisory content


Measurement & Performance Management

  • Define and implement a robust measurement framework focused on:
    • Behavioural change
    • Financial health outcomes
    • Brand impact

 

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead collaboration across:
    • Personal & Private Banking (PPB), Business & Commercial Banking (BCB)
  • Influence senior stakeholders and ensure enterprise-wide alignment

 

Team Leadership & Capability Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing advisory and financial wellness team
  • Develop critical capabilities in:
    • Financial advisory and coaching
    • Client engagement
    • Digital and data-driven insights
  • Foster a culture of client-centricity, innovation and impact
