Job Purpose
Job Responsibilities
- Commercial & Financial Analysis: Examine and monitor cloud consumption, analyse consumption based on budget and forecast, variance tracking etc
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning: Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, scenario planning, and business case development.
- Business Performance Support: Investigate the root causes of financial and operational variances rather than just reporting numbers. Partner with business to execute corrective actions.
- Executive & Stakeholder Reporting: Build management packs, dashboards, and financial models. Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial leaders.
- Systems & Data Integrity: Manage and enhance enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools, sub-ledgers, and reporting software such as Power BI.
- Identify business problems by analysing data and reports from various sources.
- Build research capabilities by collating data from different sources and communicate to all stakeholders.

Support the delivery of critical finance processes, including month-end reporting, rolling forecasts, annual budgeting, and long-term financial planning.

Analyse, monitor, and provide insights on cloud consumption, costs, and operational efficiencies to support effective financial management and optimisation initiatives.

Develop financial models, business cases, and strategic analyses to support investment decisions and enable informed decision-making at GT Exco forums.
- Communicate solutions and ideas to stakeholders through meetings; presentations and generating reports.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders at all levels of the organisations.
- Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank.
- Provide meaningful recommendations; explanations and highlights of concerns or anomalies by analysing and interrogating financial information.

- Contribute to intellectual capital development by providing continuous motivation; mentoring; coaching and on the job skills training.
- Manage defined risks in the finance function and risk categories at targeted levels by adhering to internal and external guidelines/policies/ procedures/business rules/ compliance and governance requirements.
- Obtain buy-in for developing new and/or enhanced processes (e.g. operational processes) that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businesses by highlighting benefits in support of the implementation of recommendations.
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Preferred Qualification
Bachelor of Commerce: Financial Management
Minimum Experience Level
8 - 10 years experience in Financial Services Environment
SAICA articles and BI skills.
A certificate in FinOps could be advantageous
