This role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide decisions, lead high-performing teams and deliver meaningful impact through strong client relationships, disciplined execution and sustainable business growth.

Job Purpose

To provide enterprise leadership and end-to-end accountability for the Mid Corp business by setting strategic direction, aligning key functional areas, and driving integrated execution across client coverage, credit, specialised finance, treasury, onboarding, service, risk, and commercial performance. The role ensures cohesive delivery across the Mid Corp portfolio within approved governance, regulatory, credit, conduct, FAIS, and operational parameters to achieve sustainable client, financial, risk, and people outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

Enterprise Leadership Across Mid Corp Functions
• Provide executive leadership, strategic direction, and enterprise accountability for the Mid Corp portfolio, ensuring the leadership system operates cohesively across client, commercial, credit, treasury, specialised finance, onboarding, service, risk, and operational domains.
• Set the integrated Mid Corp agenda by aligning senior leaders to shared strategic priorities, value-creation outcomes, risk appetite, governance expectations, and client experience standards.
• Shape decision rights, escalation principles, operating rhythms, and performance disciplines across the leadership portfolio to enable accountable execution and enterprise-level trade-off management.
• Hold senior functional leaders accountable for delivery against approved strategy, financial plans, risk appetite, control standards, client outcomes, and people leadership commitments.

Mid Corp Strategy and Portfolio Growth
• Define and steward the Mid Corp strategic agenda by translating commercial banking priorities into portfolio-level growth, client, credit, treasury, specialised finance, service, and operational priorities.
• Direct the execution of segment growth strategies through senior leaders, ensuring disciplined portfolio expansion, quality pipeline conversion, risk-adjusted returns, and sustainable revenue performance.
• Govern portfolio performance through executive-level oversight of financial, client, credit, risk, onboarding, service, treasury utilisation, and operational indicators, intervening where outcomes or controls are at risk.
• Ensure strategic growth decisions are balanced with risk appetite, credit quality, conduct requirements, operational resilience, FAIS obligations, and commercial banking governance standards.

Client Coverage and Relationship Leadership
• Provide executive stewardship of the Mid Corp coverage model to ensure client strategies are commercially relevant, insight-led, and aligned to broader portfolio growth and retention priorities.
• Set expectations for integrated client outcomes by ensuring coverage strategies are supported by appropriate credit, treasury, specialised finance, onboarding, service, and operational capabilities.
• Exercise senior judgement on complex client matters, escalations, high-value opportunities, and enterprise trade-offs requiring coordinated leadership action and commercial decision-making.
• Ensure client propositions and relationship strategies are delivered responsibly, with due regard for suitability, affordability, credit quality, conduct standards, service capacity, and regulatory obligations.
