Job Purpose

To drive, advise and provide input into the due diligence process and documents in relation to high risk clients in order to enable the organisation to mitigate regulatory and reputational risks.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive learning and development within the team to ensure good understanding of business requirements to mitigate organisational and industry risk.
  • Provide clarification, advice, guidance, and assistance to direct line of support to ensure that all potential regulatory and reputational risks are mitigated for the organisation.
  • Facilitate interactions with advice and guidance from relevant internal regulatory risk stakeholders on client matters to ensure compliance to industry and organisation methodologies.
  • Coordinate interactions with various business units across the organisation on submissions/due diligence to enable cross cluster impact and group governance forum compliance.
  • Attend high risk reputational committee meetings to support front line and/or broader teams with due diligence submissions are presentations to ensure compliance collaboration.
  • Review due diligence submissions to ensure high standards are met and approved for relevant committees’ consideration.
  • Action and resolve issues raised by direct line of support to speed up efficiency and effectiveness for the team.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Preferred Qualification

LLB, Bcom Law, Compliance Related Qualification

Preferred Certifications

Association Certified Anti Money laundering Specialist

Minimum Experience Level

3 - 6 years
AML (Anti Money Laudering), CFT (Combating of Finance Terrorist), Sanctions
