Job Purpose

To lead Nedbank Property Partners and grow the Nedbank Property Partner’s business through development and execution of a competitive strategy for Nedbank Property Partners resulting in a sustainable portfolio of assets and the achievement of short-, medium- and longer-term profitability objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish, drive and monitor profitability targets through adherence and implementation of three-year business plans.
  • Develop, execute and align Nedbank Property Partner’s strategy and business plans by retaining and acquiring new business.
  • Chair Investment Committees within relevant mandate (also playing a voting member role on this Committee)  and manage and oversee the semi-annual Portfolio Review Process.
  • Create cross selling opportunities, deliver budgeted profit performance and ROE targets and increase revenue generation (in line with CIB growth objectives).
  • Drive client service excellence by implementing structures, systems, process and people to support business model.
  • Drive achievement of strategic objectives by developing a strategic plan, framework and budget.
  • Build organisational capability by enabling an environment conducive to continuous innovation (including optimal use of artificial intelligence).
  • Optimise client experience and productivity by ensuring alignment and execution of strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Ensure adherence to group, cluster and divisional risk management frameworks by implementing regional risk management structures
  • Ensure compliance, identification and mitigation of risk through driving of Enterprise-wide Risk Management Committee and related processes.
  • Ensure development, maintenance and growth of client relationships through execution of client engagement strategies
  • Contribute as part of divisional executive team and cluster leadership group through proactive engagement and collaboration.
  • Build trusting relationships with direct reports and employees by being a values driven leader.
  • Represent Nedbank brand and enhance its reputation by deepening relationships with key external stakeholders.
  • Maintain high performance by ensuring that Nedbank Property Partners adopts the leadership framework.
  • Achieve Nedbank Property Finance culture objectives by monitoring and managing staff morale and targeted progression.
  • Meet Nedbank standards of staff performance by managing the recruitment, development, training and performance management of staff.
  • Create a supportive learning environment by providing opportunities for growth, motivating, coaching and guiding staff.
  • Contribute to Nedbank being the most transformed Bank by enabling accelerated transformation and positioning of the cluster.
  • Leverage business opportunities by setting and meeting BEE and Charter targets.
  • Further Nedbank's image as a responsible corporate citizen by guiding Nedbank Property Partners corporate citizenship direction.
  • Lead the creation of a innovative culture by championing innovation and continuous improvement in Nedbank Property Finance

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Preferred Qualification

  • Appropriate Tertiary qualification, honours or similar degree preferable

Minimum Experience Level

Minimum 10 years property experience with at least 5 years at an Executive or Principal level.
