Job Purpose

The Internal Audit: Data Enablement Analyst leverages data expertise and digital technologies to support (GIA) Group Internal Audit’s Digital Strategy and strategic objectives. This role delivers fit-for-purpose data products, drives data initiatives, and enhances the GIA’s data infrastructure to enable advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI—ensuring clean, usable data is available to GIA stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

•    Develop fit-for-purpose digital products to support audit execution and digital assurance.
•    Enhance data infrastructure to enable advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI.
•    Implement processes to validate and prepare clean, usable data for Group Internal Audit (GIA) stakeholders.
•    Drive procedures that ensure data quality and governance in line with enterprise frameworks and standards.
•    Facilitate training and capability building in data tools and analytics across GIA.
•    Collaborate with audit teams and data owners to align on data needs and solutions.
•    Maintain and improve analytics toolsets, coding standards, and automation scripts.
•    Identify and mitigate data-related risks, ensuring compliance with regulations.
•    Contribute to internal/external information sharing sessions by attending formal and informal meetings.
•    Align and continuously improve set processes by identifying innovation opportunities.
•    Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and demonstrate the values through interaction with team and stakeholders.
•    Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from managers.
•    Ensure personal growth and enable effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities by ensuring all learning activities are completed, experience practiced and certifications obtained and/or maintained within specified time frames.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

Relevant Degree/ Diploma/ Equivalent 

Minimum Experience Level

•    1-2  years relevant experience in data analytics
