Job Purpose
As an IT Cloud Solutions and Vendor Manager, you will play a critical role in our organization’s digital transformation journey. You’ll be responsible for overseeing our cloud solutions, optimizing vendor partnerships, and ensuring seamless collaboration. Your expertise will drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities
Cloud Solutions Management:
- Evaluate, select, and implement cloud solutions that align with our business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure.
- Monitor performance, security, and scalability of cloud services.
Vendor Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain successful relationships with our vendor network.
- Negotiate contracts, service-level agreements (SLAs), and pricing terms.
- Ensure vendors meet performance expectations throughout the relationship.
Vendor Onboarding and Offboarding:
- Lead the onboarding process for new vendors.
- Facilitate smooth transitions during vendor offboarding.
Cost Optimization and Budget Management:
- Analyze vendor costs and identify opportunities for savings.
- Create and manage budgets related to cloud solutions and vendor services.
Risk Mitigation and Compliance:
- Assess vendor risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
People Specification
- Proven experience in cloud solutions architecture, implementation, and management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
Essential Qualification - NQF level
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus.
Minimum Experience Level
10+ years IT experience as a vendor manager and experience of working on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
