Job Purpose

To support the growth and performance of the Private and Wealth business by designing, developing and facilitating learning solutions that enhance colleague capability across banking and wealth management. The role translates business strategy, product knowledge, client value propositions and operational processes into engaging learning experiences that drive adoption, performance and business outcomes.

The incumbent will partner closely with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify capability gaps, develop fit-for-purpose learning interventions and enable teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

The role will also coordinate and support business initiatives, capability programmes and change interventions to ensure successful implementation and sustainable adoption across the business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank culture-building initiatives.
  • Participate in and support corporate social responsibility initiatives aligned to key business strategies.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance processes, systems and policies, and support the implementation of approved changes.
  • Coordinate delivery activities, track actions, manage dependencies and escalate risks or deviations that may impact agreed business outcomes.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement through clear communication, role clarity and regular updates across the change cycle.
  • Support business change across people, process, systems and technology, with specific focus on sustainable adoption and colleague readiness.
  • Learning Design and Development, develop and maintain learning material, facilitator guides, learner guides, presentations, digital content and supporting tools across banking,ending, investments, fiduciary services, risk, client experience and wealth management
  • Translate complex business concepts, products and processes into practical, easy-to-understand learning solutions that support knowledge transfer and capability building.
  • Develop learning content that is client-centric, business-relevant and aligned to the Private Wealth client value proposition and colleague journeys.
  • Continuously review learning content to ensure alignment with business strategy, product enhancements, regulatory requirements and client value propositions.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and business leaders to identify learning needs and develop relevant solutions.

Job Responsibilities

Facilitation and Enablement

  • Facilitate engaging learning interventions in both classroom and virtual environments.
  • Create a learning environment that encourages participation, collaboration, critical thinking, knowledge sharing and continuous growth.
  • Create energised and engaging learning experiences that inspire participation, encourage curiosity and build learner confidence.
  • Adapt facilitation techniques to meet the needs of varying audiences, including frontline bankers, wealth managers, leadership teams and support functions.
  • Use coaching and facilitation techniques to build confidence, capability and practical application in the workplace.
  • Facilitate workshops, learning journeys, onboarding programmes and business enablement initiatives across the Private Wealth value chain.

Business Partnership and Capability Building

  • Develop a deep understanding of the Private Wealth business, strategic priorities, client segments, products and future growth ambitions.
  • Immerse themselves in the business to understand client needs, frontline realities, operational processes and future workforce requirements.
  • Translate business objectives into practical capability-building initiatives that support business performance, sales effectiveness, client experience and colleague growth.
  • Actively identify capability gaps that may impact business performance and recommend learning interventions that support business growth.
  • Proactively identify future capability requirements and recommend learning interventions that prepare teams for changing client and business needs.
  • Support the successful implementation of business initiatives through targeted communication, learning and change enablement activities.
  • Measure learning effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements based on business feedback and outcomes.

 

Stakeholder Engagement and Continuous Improvement

  • Build trusted relationships across business, sales, operations, product, risk, compliance, learning and leadership stakeholders.
  • Engage with multiple diverse groups across a spectrum of needs and align learning or business enablement interventions to these needs.
  • Use feedback, insights and quality metrics to improve learning interventions, stakeholder communication and post-implementation adoption.
  • Support post-implementation reviews by gathering feedback, identifying lessons learnt and recommending practical improvements.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

  • Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree
  • Diploma

Preferred Qualification

  • Bachelor of Commerce

Minimum Experience Level

  • 3 to 5 years' experience within banking and wealth management, with demonstrated experience in learning, facilitation, capability development, business enablement or change management.
  • Strong understanding of the Private Wealth client value proposition, banking products, wealth management solutions and client journeys.
  • Experience developing learning material and facilitating learning interventions for adult learners in both face-to-face and virtual environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate banking, lending, investing, fiduciary and wealth solutions in a practical and client-centric manner.
  • Experience working with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify capability gaps and convert business priorities into practical learning interventions.
