Join our dynamic team as an Agile Project Manager, where you will plan, track, monitor, and control small projects to ensure delivery within agreed timelines, quality standards, and budget parameters. You will work closely with the Product Manager to translate epics and stories into actionable tasks for the delivery team, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Job Purpose

To plan, track, monitor and control activities of projects of a Data and Client Experience related nature. This role entails ensuring that project goals/objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame, agreed quality and funding parameters enabled through Nedbank project methodologies and people management.

The Agile Project Manager will also ensuring the team is working on the agreed roadmap and high business value items as set by the business requirements and in alignment with the product owner. The goal is to ensure timely delivery, managing of stakeholder expectations, various reporting requirements and ensure timely inclusion of data across various initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead a Long-Live Squad responsible for delivering data related initiatives
  • Supporting the business in driving data enhancements by managing a backlog and prioritisation process with the respective product owner and Business owner
  • Manage the roadmap of the long live squad to ensure alignment with stakeholders
  • Deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget using Nedbank methodologies and Agile principles.
  • Ensuring the managing and timely issuance of data reporting on new initiatives landed across various teams.
  • Work within the technical construct of the Insurance division as well as PPB and Group data requirements
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and coach teams for continuous improvement and successful adoption of Agile practices.
  • Ensure accurate cost estimation and manage project budgets effectively.
  • Track benefits throughout the project lifecycle and escalate deviations where necessary.
  • Build strong professional relationships through regular communication and feedback.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, legislation, and best practices to enhance delivery.

People Specification

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to coach and lead teams through change.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Financial acumen for budget management.

Qualification

Essential:

  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Professional Qualification, Honour's Degree or National Diploma (NQF 7)
  • Certification in PMP, CAPM and Certified Scrum Master

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Technology in Project Management
  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Certification in PMP, CAPM and Certified Scrum Master

Minimum Experience Level

  •  3 to 5 years working in a project environment at a scrum master level.
  • Managed a Long Live squad – managing a long running set of features
  • Experience & Understanding of data, CX and communication related architecture
  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst or Process analyst – would be advantageous
  • Key tools: JIRA, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint and Ms Teams (non-negotiable)
