Regional Sales Manager - Home Loans

Job Purpose

To lead a team of Home Loans specialists efficiently and effectively, enabling them to exceed objectives and deliver sales team results that align with Nedbank’s strategic focus areas

Job Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure that their needs are met by identifying opportunities for collaboration and providing regular feedback.
  • Ensure effective resource capacity and planning and align resource capacity to the needs of the business by following relevant processes and procedures.
  • Plan and monitor development by scheduling and tracking team progress against performance and identify additional training and development requirements to ensure clear accountability of team members.
  • Keep relevant stakeholders informed and updated and identify opportunities for improvement to meet transformational targets.
  • Contribute to a culture of transformation by participating in Nedbank culture building initiatives, business strategy, and CSI, and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise to ensure personal and professional growth.
  • Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and values, leading by example, and participate in the development and implementation of action plans to address issues raised in culture surveys.
  • Create a client service culture through various interventions and achieve operational excellence by encouraging the team to generate innovative ideas and share knowledge.
  • Manage budget costs within budgeting constraints, set and allocate sales targets for the team, and review sales targets against performance to ensure profitability of distribution medium.
  • Make recommendations for alternate improvements to the business by reviewing non-performing areas, and meet financial targets through monitoring, tracking, and reviewing performance of the team.
  • Ensure quality sales standards are agreed to and delivered on, manage performance of staff by implementing performance agreements and ensuring a clear vision, and mentor and coach staff on identified. 

Minimum Experience Level

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in proactively managing and leading a sales team with a proven track record of exceptional performance a must. 
  • 3 and 5 years’ of Home Loan product sales experience to prospective customers a must
  • Must be a sales hunter and have the ability to effectively conduct cold-calling.
  • The candidate must be resilient and have the ability to work independently and being on the road on a frequent basis.
  • The candidate must be a strategic thinker and coordinate tactics and strategies that will add value to your business.
  • The candidate must have a sales performance rating of at least PERFORMING over the period of 2021 to Current.
  • The candidate must be transferable to other areas or another region in your business

Requirments

  • NQF Level 6 or Higher in a Banking, Sales, Marketing, Banking, Financial or Business Management related field 
  • Management Development Programme
  • Valid drivers License and own reliable transportation
