Job Purpose

Drive revenue growth in Commercial Banking through effective portfolio management in collaboration with frontline teams across Agriculture, Corporate Saver and Investments, Global Trade, Nedbank Debtor Management, Card Acceptance, and Transactional Solutions. Align initiatives with the bank’s strategic objectives to deliver sustainable value for shareholders.

 

Job Responsibilities

By the end of the programme, graduates will be able to:

  • Engage with Nedbank Commercial Banking clients to unlock growth opportunities, package solutions based on the specific specialist function
  • Facilitate product onboarding and on-going relationship building ensuring an efficient and seamless client
  • Support the achievement of the business strategy, objectives and ensure they drive our prescribed Nedbank values ensuring our processes, services and solutions are aligned to our purpose driven Specialised Services function.
  • Drive and land investment solutioning for acquisition clients through BM/ SM relationship team engagement and client portfolio analysis – face to face client engagements required.
  • Strategic involvement in team collaboration with the Business Manager and Services Manager relationship team supporting strategic CVP in the various Commercial Banking regions.
  • Focused contribution to identify industry specific target markets for tactical implementation.
  • Pipeline/ interaction management and develop and contribute to regional business understanding.
  • Value-adding voice to complex client deals for investment solutions.
  • Play the role of Industry expert of Third-Party Platform solution (Corporate Saver) involved in identifying potential acquisition clients, onboarding, relationship growth and business health assessment contributing to Business Manager and Services Manager relationship team portfolio. Play a key role in relationship governance of existing Corporate Saver book incl business reviews (SBS)
  • Governance over sector / industry specific drivers and key-note speakers back to Segment
  • Provide and unlock focused sales solutions for clients.
  • Project manage client functions/ engagement role.
  • In-house training – engage and upskilling of investment team including internal stakeholders (Business Manager and Services Manager relationship team and Specialised Solutions team)
  • Conduct FAIS required investment needs analysis for client and act as bank appointed representatives wrt 1.18/1.17 investments.
  • Meet FAIS Fit and Proper Requirements In terms of section 8 of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act
  • Governance over sector / industry specific drivers and key-note speakers back to Segment
  • Support team (relationship managers) to deliver on all targeted strategies and products as measured through the relevant client management systems and the contribution statement.

 

 

Preferred Qualification

  • Candidates must have completed an NQF 7 in BCom degree in Finance or Economics.
  • Must hold a degree in Finance or Economics with average score of 60% or above.
