Job Purpose
To manage and deliver small-scale projects within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards, using Nedbank’s project management methodologies. The role involves coordinating project activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring successful achievement of project objectives.
The position requires engagement with business stakeholders to clarify requirements, facilitate cross-functional discussions, and document key decisions. Where project outcomes impact existing products, collaboration with product owners is necessary to align priorities and update backlogs accordingly
Job Responsibilities
Engage with stakeholders to understand desired outcomes, expected benefits and benefit metrics.
Define project objectives, scope, and success criteria.
Perform business impact analysis.
Develop detailed plans aligning with organizational goals.
Allocate resources effectively and manage project budgets.
Communicate roles and responsibilities for each member of the team and obtain their commitment to deliver and confirmation they have capacity.
Ensure cost control and financial accountability.
Create timelines, set milestones, and monitor progress.
Adjust schedules to accommodate changes without compromising delivery.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Implement contingency plans to minimize impact.
Build and lead cross-functional teams.
Resolve conflicts and maintain team motivation.
Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and demonstrate the values through interaction with team and stakeholders.
Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g., staff surveys etc.).

Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance processes; systems and policies and support implementation of new processes; policies and systems.
Job Responsibilities Continue
Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders.
Report on progress and escalate deviations arising throughout the project.
Manage expectations and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Monitor deliverables to meet quality standards.
Implement processes for continuous improvement.
Ensure all tasks have been completed and signed off by all relevant stakeholders.
Agree on implementation date in accordance with planning cycle.
Create run book if required and manage change into production.
Oversee final deliverables, documentation, and lessons learned.
Engage with business post implementation, monitor impact and address concerns.
Track benefit realisation.
Ensure satisfactory post implementation review by obtaining final sign-off from stakeholders.
Keep abreast of legislation and other industry changes that impact on role by reading the relevant newsletters; websites and attending sessions.
Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from managers.
Ensure personal growth and enable effectiveness in performance of roles and responsibilities by ensuring all learning activities are completed; experience practiced, and certifications obtained and/or maintained within specified time frames.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
- Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
Preferred Qualification
Bachelor of Technology: Project Management
Essential Certifications
- Relevant certification in PM practises or methodology (PRINCE/ PMBOK ETC)
Minimum Experience Level
3 to 5 years working in an asset manager project environment including exposure to a management of small projects.
