Job Purpose

To design, implement, support and renew all commercial and economic structures in the motor claims supply chain. This role requires a strong technically orientated leader who will be able to fram ill-definited problem statements into opportunities to extract value through the management of motor claims cost, while ensuring the optimal customer service outcomes.

Job Responsibilities
  • End-to-end management of motor claims cost to achieve target loss ratio.
  • Establishing and maintaining adequate remuneration structures for: Panelbeaters, Vehicle rental agencies, Autoglass suppliers; Vehicle parts suppliers; Towing companies; Vehicle salvage companies, vehicle service centres; vehicle replacement companies; assessment centres.
  • Contribute to the optimisation of assessment, claims fulfillment and control environment processes.
  • Assess and evaluate the business case of the opportunity or challenge encountered through business scenarios across the following business functions:- claims administration, assessing, actuarial, business intelligence, IT, Risk and Compliance, Finance and Payroll.
  • Project management of initiatives identified to extract value in order to balance the following key performance areas:- claims cost management, customer services outcomes and Transformation / B-BBEE.
  • Accurate and timeous reporting of relevant management information to the Head, Support Services.
  • Develop procurement policies, procedures and processes.
  • Budget planning and cost management.
  • Build strategic, professional and ethical relationships with internal and external clients and suppliers.
  • Continuous improvement of training methods, performance measurements systems and underwriting standards.
  • Ensure procurement functions comply with the company policies, procedures and IT standards, focussing on standardisation of processes.
  • Overseeing department staffing, recruitment and selection.
  • Performance management including management of disciplinary processes.
  • Participation and adherence to voluntary and regulatory bodies.
  • Claims cost management
  • Assess and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of service provider controls, processes and procedures through: Data Analysis, risk identification and evaluation, control implementation, process mapping and audit design.
  • Lead a team to deliver on audit requirements:- Audit allocation, recoveries, reporting, competency testing,
  • Lead a team to ensure that the following is administered to supported procurement processes with regards to services providers:- Online portal, Application and Due Diligence, Profiles, Roadshows and Communication.
People Specification
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
Preferred Qualification
  • Actuarial, Chartered Accounting or Engineering degree beneficial
  • MBA beneficial

Minimum Experience Level
  • Minimum 3-5 years technical experience AND
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years management experience.
