Manager: Cyber Risk - Pipeline 

Job Purpose

To analyse information security related tasks within the ambit of existing information security policies; standards and processes; procedures and practices as well as business rules. Working independently to deliver on work tasks. Mentor Administrators and Analyst I. Collaborate with other specialists to execute analysis work tasks; perform operational tasks; question; recommend and update improvements to the existing policies; process and procedures. To ensure stability and up-time for areas the incumbent takes responsibility for; which could require availabilityon demand to perform job related duties outside of normal working hours.

Job Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc).
  • Participate and support corporate responsibility initiatives for the achievement of business strategy (e.g. Green Strategy).
  • Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank.
  • Deliver budget as agreed for the year by selling and structuring derivativesolutions into existing client base andby selling to an increasingly broader range of clients within these sectors and by selling into clients new to the client base.
  • Build transaction pipeline and convert into new deals by selling and structuring derivativesolutions into existing client base andby selling to an increasingly broader range of clients within these sectors and by selling into clients new to the client base.
  • Increase business done with new clients added to current base by selling and structuring derivativesolutions into existing client base andby selling to an increasingly broader range of clients within these sectors and by selling into clients new to the client base.
  • Develop differentiated; superior products / solutions / structures that meet customer needs in defined markets through seamless end to end execution; via client knowledge and resource utilisation.
  • Implement and manage transactions successfully for its duration up to maturity through joint coordination with relevant support teams.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements with regards to transactions / proposals / documentation / structures / models by complying with and being aware of internal compliance standards and external regulatory requirements.
  • Retain business with new clients and/or increase business with existing clients by regularly visiting clients and suggesting new products / solutions.
  • Conclude business with a wide range of clients within the existing client base by ensuring sales effort covers a wide range of clients; maintaining sales with existing clients and increasing sales effort with new clients.
  • Actively participate in collaboration; cross selling; idea generation / innovation; convergence; client alignment with internal stakeholders by maintaining good relationships with internal stakeholders; by thinking in a collaborative mindset when exploring potential opportunities with clients and implementing transactions as a result of collaborative effort.
  • Uphold Nedbank's integrity by delivering client solution honestly; with due skill; care and diligence; by maintaining a risk centric paradigm and keeping abreast of regulations and internal policies.
  • Support the achievement of the business strategy; objectives and values by contributing to Business Unit Plan and ensuring systems; process; services and solutions are aligned.
  • Identify training courses and career progression for self through input and feedback from management.
  • Ensure all personal development plan activities are completed within specified timeframe.
  • Share knowledge and industry trends with team and stakeholders during formal and informal interaction.
  • Buy into developing new and/or enhanced processes (e.g. operational processes) that will improve the functioning of stakeholders' businesses by highlighting benefits in support of the implementation of recommendations.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Preferred Qualification

A+, N + S+ or equivalent 

Preferred Certifications

Relevant Information Security Certification 

Minimum Experience Level

At least 8 years in an IT environment of which at least 5 years in information Security
